SLV.Global Placement: Advanced Placement, Sri Lanka

Current role: "I have had two jobs since the placement. The first was a teaching assistant role in a SEN school, and I now currently work as a support worker for young adults with severe disabilities and mental health problems."

Tell us about your SLV.Global experience: "The SLV.Global experience in Sri Lanka was the five best weeks of my life. I loved every aspect of the placement, from the tuk tuk rides to work in the morning to dancing and singing with the teams and patients we worked with in the projects."

Tell us what you gained from the placement: "I learnt a whole range of skills from SLV.Global, including how to promote positive mental health and also how to work with a range of individuals. I believe these two skills will be the most beneficial to my future."
