Tell us about your SLV.Global experience: 'My SLV experience was an absolutely amazing experience that I would never have obtained in the UK. I got to live with, work with and help some really incredible people and that is something I will never forget. My eyes were opened to a completely different culture and way of working which has definitely helped me to build the resilience needed to work in psychiatric settings in the UK. It gave me something interesting to talk about at interview. '

'A little goes a long way. The impact you can have on someones life with a limited amount of resources is huge. You have to use your creativity and initiative to make a difference. I don't sit around waiting for someone to tell me what to do. I get stuck in and build rapport and therapeutic relationships with clients just by making them smile, offering an ear to listen, being patient and sometimes just simply being there and not giving up.'
