Tell us about your SLV.Global experience: 'When I look back on my SLV experience, I have nothing but amazing memories. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of my placement and the wonderful people I got to share it with. I feel very lucky that I got the chance to experience working and living in a different country whilst still being able to travel to different parts of Sri Lanka every weekend. ' 'The one thing about the Mental Health placement that scared me was how much teaching that was involved. However I found that this is what I enjoyed the most. Because of this experience I am now in a job, as a Special Support Assistant, which is in this field. Whilst being in Sri Lanka I also realised that not everything goes to plan! Sometimes buses break down, placements get cancelled and cows can cause traffic problems. I never saw anyone get angry or upset about anything that wasn't under their control. I've tried to take this away from their culture and I now try to brush off things that happen and just accept things do go wrong sometimes'

'SLV definitely enhanced my CV. Its given me a huge chunk of work experience that stands out from others.'
