SLV.Global Placement: Graduate Mental Health Placement, September 2015

Current Role: ‘Only ten days from getting back from Sri Lanka I was given a job working as a support worker for adults with autism with prospects of being made a specialist on communication within the workplace.’

Tell about your SLV.Global experience: ‘SLV was an amazing experience. All the different placements give you an excellent idea of what you are suited for if you have not yet chosen an area that suits you, there are loads of practical things to take away from the experience and it definitely impresses interviewers.’

Tell us what you gained from your placement: ‘SLV definitely helped enhance my CV I was able to put far more relevant experience down than what I had previously. The biggest thing I took away was communication, this has definitely helped when working with individuals with autism that suffer from severe communication impairments.’
