Jess, a University of Nottingham Psychology graduate, joined the SLV Global team in London in August 2013 as an intern and later that year was a coordinator on the Graduate Mental Health Placement in Sri Lanka.
After doing such a smashing job in Sri Lanka, Jess was promoted to Assistant Project Manager and offered her role in London. She’s been supporting volunteers pre and post departure ever since. Jess is known as being a problem solver and is our resident techie and visa guru for all countries.
In 2016 Jess joined the team in Bali to help with the setup of the pilot Bali Mental Health Placement and was an instrumental part of securing our local partnerships. Jess wears many hats at SLV Global, all related to support, and it’s very impressive that they all fit so well!
“There are so many reasons why I love what I do, putting them into one sentence is just not possible but if I had to choose my favourite part of my job it would be the amazing people that I get to work with on a daily basis. We are so lucky to work with such wonderful kind caring people each day, both on and off projects. The dedication shown not only by all of our volunteers in Bali, Sri Lanka and India but all of the national and international teams is always so inspiring.”
