Ellie joined the SLV team shortly once she completed her Masters Degree in War and Psychology. After working as a teaching assistant at a SEN school, Ellie was looking for an experience where she could use her practical skills as well as all the knowledge gained throughout both of her degrees. She joined us on our 12-week Graduate Mental Health Placement and due to her incredible communication skills and endless energy was offered a role at SLV HQ when she returned.
Ellie recently returned from helping to set up Bali’s pilot placement where she got to meet some of the many volunteers she interviews over the phone on a daily basis. Ellie's main role is to ensure the best candidates from all around the world join our placements.
“My favourite part of the job is speaking to lots of the potential SLV volunteers from all over the world and hearing about their varied experiences. It's amazing how many different things Psychology can lead to.”
