Ooty, located in the state of Tamil Nadu in Southern India, is a popular hill station in the Nilgiri Mountains (the Blue Mountains). Running through the town, you’ll find the Nilgiri Mountain Railway, one of the oldest mountain railways in India and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Most of the area is a natural reserve forest and the landscape is littered with tall eucalyptus and pine trees rising out of the mountains. At 2,240 metres above sea level Ooty enjoys scenery made up of beautiful dense forests and sprawling tea plantations.
