"Using our education in mental health, volunteers were tasked to plan appropriately stimulating activities for groups of people with varying abilities such as autistic children or adults who cannot read. I worked with individuals of all ages and backgrounds in schools, community centers, and the psychiatric facility."

"I enjoyed teaching college-aged girls how to create a CV and prepare for a job interview. They were receptive and eager to learn. I also had the pleasure of learning mindfulness meditation first-hand from a monk!"

"On weekends off, I explored ancient Buddhist temples, hiked in the jungle, snorkeled with sharks, and went on a safari. One weekend some of my friends and I were invited to a traditional Sri Lankan wedding. Even with all of these experiences, the best part of the whole trip was making friends with people from all around the world!"
