SLV.Global Volunteer Happiness Officer

This role is based in London, at SLV.Global HQ. All applicants must have completed a placement with us abroad, as a large part of the role is speaking to new applicants about our placements from personal experience. The role requires a minimum of six months commitment, for at least two days a week and involves assisting with the day-to-day operations of SLV.Global Salary: £8.50-£10.00 per hour dependant on experience

Duties include:

  • Interviewing potential volunteers over the phone
  • Managing placement capacity
  • Contributing to marketing ideas and initiatives
  • Daily administration tasks
  • Working as part of a team and independently
  • Liaising with SLV.Global partners

This role would suit an individual looking for an insight into the inner workings of a global organisation focused on mental health. There are opportunities for progression within the team for the right candidates.

Essential:

  • First-hand knowledge of at least one SLV.Global placement
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Computer literate and tech savvy
  • Working knowledge of Google and Microsoft Office
  • Fluent English
  • Enthusiasm and energy Passion for SLV.Global's work
  • An ability to work within a close-knit team and a desire make valid contributions

Desired:

  • Marketing experience
  • A talent for writing
  • Experience with finance
