For the past two years we've been fortunate enough to work with one of the largest, and most esteemed, psychiatric facilities in East Java, Indonesia and we can’t wait to share this experience with you!
On this field trip you will get the opportunity to spend more time working in diverse settings. From wards in the psychiatric facility, where you'll be in the company of some of Indonesia's most respected clinicians, to community initiatives set up to help those with mental health concerns and overlapping additional needs. You'll also have Q&A time with various mental health professionals and visit Indonesia's only mental health museum.
On top of all this additional professional experience, you'll also get to explore some of the cultural sights of East Java. From lush tea plantations, temples, night carnivals and markets to the stunning Rainbow Village and epic Mt. Bromo, which you'll be able to ascend with your team on the final day.
This field trip takes place over five days, from Sunday through to Friday. Importantly, there are a limited number of flights arriving into East Java from Bali each day, so we will be in touch with you closer to your placement start date to let you know which is the best flight to book.
