If you're an aspiring clinical psychologist, and are after some extra adventure during your time in Indonesia, this field trip is perfect for you.
For the past two years we've been fortunate enough to work with one of the largest, and most esteemed, psychiatric facilities in East Java, Indonesia and now we're opening this experience up to you. This is an unparalleled opportunity to gain even more clinical experience at the same time as exploring a completely new culture, and island, in Indonesia.
This field trip takes place once your placement concludes, in the following week, and will be spent working in diverse settings. From wards in the psychiatric facility, where you'll be in the company of some of Indonesia's most respected clinicians, to community initiatives set up to help those with mental health concerns and overlapping additional needs. You'll also have Q&A time with various mental health professionals and visit Indonesia's only mental health museum.
On top of all this additional professional experience, you'll also get to explore some of the cultural sights of East Java. From lush tea plantations, temples, night carnivals and markets to the stunning Rainbow Village and epic Mt. Bromo, which you'll be able to ascend with your team on the final day.
Please be advised that spaces are extremely limited and we are only able to offer this opportunity to 15 people per placement. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
